Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026
These terms apply to your use of the smile assessment provided by a dental or orthodontic practice using the OrthoScore platform. By using the assessment, you agree to these terms.
Educational only — not a diagnosis
The assessment is a general educational tool. It does not diagnose any condition, does not establish a doctor–patient relationship, does not replace an in-person examination, and does not promise any treatment or outcome. Any observation it provides — including any observation derived from a photo — is educational information, not medical advice. Only a licensed orthodontist or dentist can evaluate your smile and recommend treatment. If you have a health concern, consult a qualified professional.
Using the assessment
You agree to provide accurate information and to use the assessment only for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. If you complete the assessment for a child or teenager, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian. Do not submit content you do not have the right to submit, and do not attempt to disrupt, misuse, or reverse-engineer the service.
Follow-up communications
By submitting your details, you agree that the sponsoring practice may contact you about a consultation using the contact information you provided. You can opt out of further communications at any time by telling the practice.
Intellectual property
The assessment, its content, and the underlying software are owned by OrthoScore and its licensors and are provided to the practice under license. You retain ownership of the information you submit; you grant the practice and OrthoScore permission to process it as described in the Privacy Policy in order to provide your result.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The assessment is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OrthoScore and the sponsoring practice are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the assessment, and any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid to use it (which, for the assessment itself, is typically nothing). Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes & contact
These terms may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. For questions, contact the dental or orthodontic practice that provided this assessment.
